John Saxon Bio

John Saxon is a legendary actor who has worked on over 200 projects – including many Italian and even ‘Bollywood’ films - during the span of sixty years. Saxon broke into the movies in the 1950′s after studying with esteemed acting coach Stella Adler. His most memorable performances include the roles of Roper in Enter the Dragon, Hunt Sears in the Oscar-nominated film The Electric Horseman (opposite Robert Redford and Jane Fonda), Lt. Donald Thompson in A Nightmare on Elm Street and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, Stanley Chase in From Dusk Till Dawn, and Nedlick in the TV series The Six Million Dollar Man as well as The Bionic Woman.

In The Extra, John Saxon plays Victor Valiant, a screen legend (much like John Saxon himself) who stars in an upcoming film which Joe Fierrereaux aka Derrick Stone (Tyrone Power Jr.) and his friends are working on as background actors or ‘extras’. Derrick Stone’s new friend, Tom (Randall Miles), is a huge fan of Victor Valiant, and this comes to a head in a powerful scene in The Extra, which sees Tom accidentally bump into Valiant, and causes the hot-headed actor to behave in an unbecoming manner. How does Joe Fierrereaux stand up for his friend when he’s keeping his identity of the megastar Derrick Stone under wraps?
